Dr. Erkis has worked in the mental health field for over 30 years. He has served in a variety of therapeutic settings, including: clinical staff member for an inpatient psychiatric hospital, family divorce counselor, outpatient therapist, and senior therapist in one of the country’s top wilderness therapy programs.
He holds an M.A. in Counseling and Social Psychology from Ball State University, a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Pennsylvania State University, and completed his pre-doctoral internship at The Ohio State University. As an educator he has taught courses in group therapy, dual diagnosis (co-occurring drug and alcohol issues), treatment, and counseling theory at Pennsylvania State University and Ball State University. He is also a trained interventionist.

In addition to serving as the executive director of Seasons, Andy is also the founder of a nationally-known educational consulting practice, an intensive in-home-treatment program for adolescents, a young adult therapeutic mentorship program, and an addiction focused recovery community.
As a therapeutic and educational placement expert Andy has also helped thousands of families find safe and effective residential schools/treatment programs across the country.
He is a published author on counseling, therapeutic options, and the mental health field. He is currently writing a book “When all Else Fails: A Guide for Parents Considering Out-of-Home-Placement for Their Struggling Teen.”

Dr. Bill Benninger
Director of Clinical Oversight
Dr. William Benninger received his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in counseling psychology. He is a former Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology at The Ohio State University.
In his private practice he has specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD and related disorders. He has diagnosed and treated thousands of children, adolescents, and adults with this disorder over the past 35 years. Dr. Benninger was the first psychologist in the U.S. certified to use Cogmed Working Memory Training, a widely used, evidence-based intervention which improves Working Memory and other Executive Function deficits. His most recent research is on the benefits of Cogmed Working Memory Training in children and adolescents.
He is president of the Board of Directors for the Institute for Human Services and an ADHD Expert Lecturer for the Institute for Brain Potential. He is a certified trainer for The Nurtured Heart Approach, an intervention for children with Oppositional Defiant Disorder.

Dr. Berhane Messay
Director of Clinical Oversight
Dr. Berhane Messay, is a licensed Clinical Psychologist who provides individual, group and couple’s therapy. Dr. Messay received her Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Clinical & Health Psychology (Ph.D.) from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed a pre-doctoral internship at Lovell Federal Health Care Center in Chicago, Illinois and completed her postdoctoral residency at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, Massachusetts.
Dr. Messay has specialized training in evidenced-based interventions to address concerns related to depression, anxiety, relationship distress, traumatic experiences, anger management difficulties, and health related issues (e.g., chronic pain and insomnia).
Dr. Messay believes therapy is a collaborative process where treatment is tailored to help individual(s) reach their valued life goals.

Dr. Kadian Miracle
Director of Clinical Oversight
Dr. Kadian Miracle is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Sex and Relationship Therapist, as well as a certified dancing mindfulness facilitator. She holds a PhD in Clinical Health Psychology from Ohio University and completed an internship and post-doctoral residency at The Ohio State University, Counseling and Consultation Services.
As a clinicians she is well versed in providing assessment, crisis intervention services, and culturally responsive individual, group and couples psychotherapy addressing a range of concerns including sexual dysfunction, military sexual trauma, PTSD, pain and chronic illness management, and other general mental health concerns.
She has practiced in a variety of clinical settings including university counseling centers, community and medical clinics, the Department of Veterans Affairs and is a training supervisor for psychologists working towards licensure.

Dr. Jayne Speicher Bocija
Director of Clinical Oversight
Dr. Jayne Speicher has over 25 years of experience in psychological assessment, treatment and consultation with couples, families, adolescents and adults. She holds degrees in Psychology from the College of Wooster (BA), the University of Wisconsin (MA) and the University of Akron (PhD)
She has previously worked in youth services in the Greater Chicago area, managed an adolescent group home in Milwaukee, provided college career guidance and counseling in Akron, served as an inpatient unit team leader, consulted in a rehabilitation hospital, and is skilled in providing outpatient treatment to couples, families, and youth.
She also has over fifteen years of experience in conducting assessments for treatment planning, employment, disability, and forensic issues.

Carly Habenschuss, LPCC-S

Carly Habenschuss, MA, LPCC (she/her/hers) cherishes the honest and authentic conversations and therapeutic relationships she hopes to foster with each of her clients. For the past several years she has counseled adolescents, adults, couples and families and has experience in high school, college and private practice settings. She uses an integrative approach that is strengths-based and person-centered, and draws from reality therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), interpersonal process, and feminist, queer humanist, and existential theories. She strives to foster a safe, affirming and supportive therapeutic environment, and views therapy as a collaborative process in which the client is the expert.
Carly has experience in working with a variety of concerns, including but not limited to multicultural identity, women’s and parenting issues, LGBTQ+ issues (particularly with the TGNC community), identity development and concerns, anxiety, trauma, and family of origin issues. Carly earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from the nationally ranked Ohio State University counselor education program. She also holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication and French Studies with a minor in Sexuality Studies.

Jacqui Hoke, LPCC

Jacqui Hoke, MA, LPC (she/her/hers) holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the Counselor Education program at The Ohio State University as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. In addition to her work as a clinical mental health counselor, she has a background in higher education, as an Academic Advisor at Franklin University and a Career Counselor at Ohio State University.
As a therapist, Jacqui is passionate about helping people become more grounded and accepting of themselves as they grapple with the concerns that can unsettle us as humans–feelings of anxiety and depression; career and identity development; making meaning of experiences; and navigating the balance between chaos and control, freedom and responsibility, connectedness and differentiation, action and paralysis. Jacqui sees these concerns as existential concerns that affect all humans and believes that approaching them from a non-binary lens can cultivate greater psychological health.
Jacqui uses an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approach that values and attends to the unique needs of each individual, helping them build a meaningful and vital life one day at a time.

Ryan Hoke, MSE
Practice Administrator
With a diverse background in communications, the arts, non-profit work, and mental health, Ryan has served in key leadership roles for a wide collection of organizations. His role at Seasons is multifaceted assisting with day-to-day practice administration, communication, as well as providing leadership and general business operations support. Ryan has a Bachelors degree in Communications and a Masters degree in Human Services.
